.An absolute encoder counts pulses and outputs the counted number. The output of the absolute encoder can be an analogue signal or a data output (supports most common protocols, e.g. ModBus TCP/IP, Ethernet IP, EtherCat, Profinet, etc.). The absolute encoder can be single or multi-turn and with a resolution of up to 31 bits (counts up to 2 147 483 648 turns).
